Here is the scientific reasons explained by this kaviraj. (Ayurvedic doctor)

 

He explains (above) that if we rise at brahma muhurta time every day, then we get the full benefit of  certain cosmic planetary vibrations or rays which increases the ojas in our bodies, the pranic energy which sustains healthy life.

Ayurveda is the most scientific and complete body of information on this planet regarding health. And It is just onesection of the Vedas. Veda means knowledge, and that knowledge of healthy living is necessary for happiness.

And then, one would ask–what to do during this time of day once we have risen from bed?

1) Books : KRSNA, The Supreme Personality of Godhead – 1970 Edition : Volume 2 : KB 2-15 / Lord Krsna’s Daily Activities :

By nature’s arrangement the crowing of the cocks warns of the brāhma-muhūrta hour. There is no need of alarm clocks; as soon as the cocks crow early in the morning, it is to be understood that it is time to rise from bed.

2) Conversations : 1970 Conversations : December, 1970 : Room Conversation — December 13, 1970, Indore : 701213rc.ind :

Prabhupāda: . One who cannot rise early in the morning, he is not spiritually serious. That is test. Brāhma-muhūrta, this hour, one hour before sunrise, is very auspicious moment.

We have to meditate upon Kṛṣṇa, Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. That is real meditation, Kṛṣṇa is Kṛṣṇa Himself; therefore He was teaching us that brāhmamuhūrta should be utilized for meditation on Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. By doing so, Kṛṣṇa would feel very much satisfied, and similarly we will also feel transcendentally pleased and satisfied if we utilize the brāhmamuhūrta period to meditate on Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa…

4) Books : Sri Caitanya-caritamrta – 1975 Edition : Cc. Madhya-lila : Madhya 24: The Sixty-One Explanations of the Atmarama Verse : Madhya 24.331 : PURPORT : diksayah karanam kintu sveccha-prapte tu sad-gurau : In the early morning hours (known as brāhmamuhūrta) one should get up and immediately chant the Hare Kṛṣṇamantra, or, at least, “Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa.” In this way, one should remember Kṛṣṇa. Some ślokas or prayers should also be chanted. By chanting, one immediately becomes auspicious and transcendental to the infection of material qualities. Actually one has to chant and remember Lord Kṛṣṇa twenty-four hours daily, or as much as possible.

5) N98 TMG: He says (Visvanatha Cakravarthi) one who with great care and attention loudly recites this beautiful prayer (gurav astaka) to the spiritual master during brahma-muhurta obtains direct service to Krsna the Lord of Vrndavana at the time of his death.
