Hare Krsna to all
Pranams
All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Yesterday we observed the annual Govardhana puja festival. I was musing over this and thinking that this is the 42nd such festival I have taken part in over the years. And that is just one festival.

One of the reasons I personally joined this Krsna Consciusness Movement was because of such festivals. Chanting, dancing and feasting, this is the process that Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu gave to us beginning over 500 years ago in Bengal India.
Who doesn’t like to sing, dance and feast?  Everybody ! So why doesn’t everybody take part?

One has to become fortunate. And this fortune is made available by the blessings of Srila Prabhupada. He told us once that to come to this movement one had to either be very well informed about Vedic culture and knowledge  OR to be very fortunate. So it is pretty obvious to me at least, that most of us are just very fortunate. To remain in that fortunate condition one must regularly associate with Krsna’s bona fide devotees, otherwise our good fortunes will evaporate. And as we know how history repeats itself, Srila Prabhupada also said, “dont be surprised who comes, be surprised who stays”……………
