Some devotees say that even if someone is in some sort of maya, then still whatever they are doing or have done for "Srila Prabhupada" is still counted as bhakti and is valuable . And we should not criticize that "service" because it was done with good intent.
Srila Prabhupada says: “A devotee should have intelligence to know who is deviating. Surrender by your intelligence but don’t surrender your intelligence.”

Gargamuni Prabhu speaks out on the book changes and how Srila Prabhupada is number 32 in the disciplic succession, with no number 33.
"THIS IS VANI. EVEN THE GURU IS NOT PHYSICALLY PRESENT, IF YOU FOLLOW THE VANI, THEN YOU ARE GETTING HELP."
I firmly believe that Srila Prabhupada is still directing this mission and this document is a revelation of His solution to the theft of the inheritance of His disciples by the deviates.
Srila Prabhupada's success is in his teachings - his books. To preserve and continue to spread these teachings without change is to act in the capacity of a successor in the authorized disciplic succession.
Srila Prabhupada’s original 1972 Bhagavad-Gita As It Is was unauthorized edited and changed by the vikara-vadis, masked under the pretentious claim of alleged manuscript fidelity.
"By the mercy of the spiritual master one is benedicted by the mercy of Kṛṣṇa. Without the grace of the spiritual master, one cannot make any advancement.” A disciple should never be a hypocrite or be unfaithful to his spiritual master.

Disciplic succession scattered by personal whims of demonic persons
“Certainly Bhagavad-gītā was never meant for the demonic persons, who would dissipate its value for no one’s benefit and would devise all types of interpretations according to personal whims. As soon as the original purpose was scattered by the motives of the unscrupulous commentators, there arose the need to reestablish the disciplic succession.” (Bg As It Is 4.2 purport by HDG Srila Prabhupada — Original, Unrevised, 1972 edition)
